Allo alternative for sales teams

The Allo alternative for sales teams whose deals live on the phone

You take the call, promise the follow-up, and dial the next one. The notes wait until the end of the day, and by then the CRM only knows what you still happen to remember.

Superscribe

Stop rebuilding calls from memory

Use Superscribe to capture the words, context, next steps, and time while the work is still happening.

Deals rarely die on the call. They die in the ninety seconds after it, when the next number is already ringing and the note that would have made the follow-up easy never gets typed. That is usually the real reason a rep starts looking for an Allo alternative for sales teams. The conversation happened. The recording or the transcript exists somewhere. But the pipeline still runs on whatever someone remembered to put in the CRM at 6pm.

Sales is one of the few jobs where the highest-value work is spoken and the system of record is typed. Every hour of that gap is a follow-up sent a day late, a competitor mentioned on the call that nobody logged, an objection that never reaches the manager.

Allo gets you the call. Sales needs the next move.

Call capture tools are good at producing an artifact. You get a recording, a transcript, a tidy summary. That is genuinely useful for review and for coaching, and if that is your bottleneck, you may not need to switch anything.

The problem shows up when the artifact is the finish line. A rep does not have a transcript problem. A rep has an “I promised to send pricing by Thursday and it is now Monday” problem. Between the summary and the sent email sits a stack of small manual steps: read it, decide the next action, open the CRM, find the deal, log the activity, set the task, write the message. Nobody does that seven times a day, so it gets batched to the evening, and the evening is what gets cut.

Try it on the real workflow

Take your next pipeline call on your own number

Answer the call as usual. Superscribe turns it into a summary, suggested next steps, and a Pipedrive activity while you are still parked outside the office.

What an Allo alternative for sales teams has to prove

Rather than trade feature lists, judge any tool by what is true five minutes after the call ends.

The moment What to check in Allo or any call tool What Superscribe Phone does
Prospect calls your mobile Does it work on a normal inbound call, with no bot to invite? Free iPhone app. You keep your number and answer as usual.
Call ends A title and next steps, or a wall of transcript? Title, summary and suggested actions, plus the multilingual transcript.
The promise you made Is “call them back Tuesday” text, or a tappable action? One tap to call back, add the time to the calendar, set a reminder, or save an unknown caller.
The CRM Does anything reach the deal record without copy and paste? Filed to the right project, pushed to Pipedrive as an activity.
The rest of your stack Can the output feed your own workflows? Calls and meetings pull through the API and MCP.
The room, not the phone What happens in a face-to-face meeting? Tap Start meeting, phone on the table, remote people dialled in onto the same transcript.

Choose Allo if you mainly want a recording archive and you are happy doing CRM entry by hand. Choose Superscribe if the output has to arrive as next-step work, on the rep’s own number, before the next call starts.

Why I built the call side of this

I started Superscribe because I kept watching good spoken work evaporate. People have the real conversation, then rebuild a thin version of it hours later from memory. That is not a note-taking problem, it is a reconstruction tax, and it lands hardest on people who talk for a living.

Sales was the clearest case. The rep is not lazy about admin. The rep is doing the right thing by taking the next call. So I built the phone side to close the loop where it breaks: capture the call on the number the customer already dials, and hand back something you act on in one tap instead of something you have to process.

Nothing runs on its own. Superscribe suggests, you tap. That matters when the output lands in a CRM your forecast depends on.

One call, from hello to logged activity

A prospect calls. You answer normally. The call is transcribed in whichever language you both drifted into, detected automatically.

By the time you have parked, you have a title, a summary and a short list of suggested actions. Call the technical buyer back on Thursday. Put the demo slot in the calendar. Remind me to send the security doc. Time-sensitive ones show on the lock screen with buttons, so they take a thumb, not a laptop.

The call is filed to the right project automatically and pushed to Pipedrive as an activity. If you run something else, the API and MCP let your own workflow pull the call and its structured output where you need it.

Run the test properly

Try the call to follow-up loop on three live deals

Take three real pipeline calls this week without touching the CRM afterwards, then check on Friday whether those deals still read accurately.

What changes in the Monday pipeline review

When notes are written from memory at the end of the day, a pipeline review is a memory test. Everyone sounds confident. Nobody can quote the objection. When the notes come from the call itself, a manager can see what the buyer actually said, which competitor came up, and which follow-up was promised and never sent. Deals that stalled for a real reason stop looking like deals that stalled because a rep got busy.

The in-person side counts too. Kickoffs and business reviews happen in a room. Tap Start meeting, put the phone on the table with a visible recording state, dial the remote stakeholder in by phone onto the same transcript, and the minutes with decisions and follow-ups are ready when everyone stands up. Speakers are separated and named when they introduce themselves.

For a team, Business Voice adds seats and pooled minutes. The solo app is free to start, which is the honest way to test this: one rep, one week, real deals.

Three questions sales teams ask

Do our prospects have to install or accept anything? No. You keep your own number and answer calls the way you always have. There is no meeting bot to invite and no new phone system on either side.

Does this replace our phone system? No. Superscribe does not port numbers, run extensions or route calls. It captures the calls you already take and turns them into notes, actions and CRM entries.

What if we do not use Pipedrive? Pipedrive gets a call activity pushed to it directly. For anything else, the API and MCP let your stack pull the transcript, summary and actions into your own workflow.

Next step

Let your next call write its own CRM entry

Install it before your first dial tomorrow, take the calls you were taking anyway, and see what is waiting in the deal record afterwards.
