Notta alternative for sales teams

A Notta alternative for sales teams who hate typing up their own calls

You close on the phone, then the CRM waits until evening for whatever you can still remember. Every call you take is one more note you owe somebody, and the good ones are the longest.

Notta Alternative for Sales Teams

Superscribe

Stop rebuilding calls from memory

Use Superscribe to capture the words, context, next steps, and time while the work is still happening.

Most call recorders get judged on transcript accuracy. That is the wrong test. If you are shopping for a Notta alternative for sales teams, you probably are not complaining about the words. You are complaining about what happens after the words exist. You finish a discovery call, you promise a scoped proposal by Thursday, you dial the next number, and the transcript sits in a tab nobody opens again. By six o’clock you are retyping half of it into the CRM from memory, and the half you forget is the half the deal depended on.

The gap is not accuracy, it is the next ten minutes

Transcription is a solved problem. Notta is a competent recorder and it produces readable text. The trouble is that a transcript is an input, not an outcome. Nobody on your team is measured on how many transcripts exist. They are measured on whether the follow-up went out, whether the next step is booked, and whether the pipeline number in the Monday review matches something a buyer actually said out loud.

That last gap is the expensive one. A rep takes six calls, remembers four of them well, and the CRM ends up with four thin lines and two blanks. Then a manager runs a pipeline review on those lines. The forecast is now a summary of a summary of somebody’s short-term memory.

Notta alternative for sales teams, compared on output

After the call Typical Notta workflow Superscribe Phone
Where the call happens Recorded meeting or uploaded audio Your own number, answered as usual, no bot joining
What comes back Transcript and summary to read Title, summary and suggested actions you can tap
Who does the follow-up admin You, later, by hand One tap per action: call back, calendar, reminder, contact
How the CRM finds out Someone copies the important bits across Calls file to the right project and push to Pipedrive as an activity
Room meetings Handled as a recording Phone on the table, speakers separated, remote people dialled in by phone onto the same transcript
Anything else Copy and paste Pull the structured output through the API and MCP

To be fair to Notta: if all you need is a searchable record of what was said, a good transcript is enough. The reason people go looking is that a record still leaves the ten minutes of admin sitting on the rep, and reps do that admin last, if at all.

Try it on the real workflow

Turn your next discovery call into finished follow-up

Take one real pipeline call on your own number and see what comes back. The call becomes a summary, next steps, and a Pipedrive activity without a cleanup pass.

Why I built the call side first

I am Siim. Superscribe started because spoken work kept disappearing. I would have a good call, agree to something specific, hang up, then rebuild the whole thing hours later from three words in a notebook. That rebuild was never accurate and never fast.

The fix I wanted was not a better recorder. It was output. Superscribe captures the spoken work and turns it into text you can act on: notes, tasks, follow-ups, project context. For a sales team that means the call does not end in a document you have to process. It ends in a short list of things you either tap or ignore.

I put the phone rail in first on purpose, because in sales the highest-value conversation is almost never on a video link with a bot in the corner. It is a normal phone call to a normal phone number, often the one your prospect already has saved under your name.

What a Tuesday on the phones looks like

Superscribe Phone is an iPhone app. You keep your number and answer calls the way you always have. Nothing joins, nothing announces itself, and you do not ask a buyer to install anything.

The call is transcribed, in whatever language it happened in, and comes back with a title, a summary and suggested actions. Call the procurement contact back on Friday. Put the demo slot in the calendar. Set a reminder to send the security doc. Save that unknown number to contacts as the new champion. Each one is a single tap. Nothing fires on its own, which matters when the suggestion is wrong and you want to bin it in half a second. The time-sensitive ones surface on the lock screen with buttons, so the callback that has to happen today is not buried under the next four dials.

Calls file themselves to the right project and push into Pipedrive as an activity. If your stack is not Pipedrive, the structured output is available through the API and MCP, so it can feed a sequencer, a workflow, or your own agent.

For the deal review in a room, tap Start meeting and put the phone on the table. Recording state is visible, so nobody is surprised. Remote people can be dialled in by phone onto the same transcript. Speakers are separated and named when they introduce themselves. When the meeting ends, the minutes are already written: summary, decisions, follow-ups.

Fix the handoff, not the recording

Run the call-to-CRM check on your own pipeline

Take your last five calls. Count how many produced a follow-up the same day and a CRM line somebody else could act on. That number is your real admin gap, and it is the one Superscribe closes.

How to pick between them

Choose Notta if your main need is a clean, searchable record of meetings and uploads, and someone on the team is genuinely happy to move the important parts into your system afterwards.

Choose Superscribe if the calls that decide your quarter happen on a phone number, if the follow-up quality drops after four o’clock, and if you want the CRM entry to appear as a by-product of the conversation rather than as a chore at the end of the day.

The solo app is free to start. Business Voice adds seats and pooled minutes when a whole team is dialling.

Three questions reps ask

Do I have to change my phone number or my phone system? No. You keep your own number and answer calls as usual. There is no porting, no new phone system, and nothing for your prospect to install.

Will it update the CRM without me? It creates the Pipedrive activity and files the call to the right project. The suggested actions still wait for a tap. Nothing sends an email or books a meeting on its own.

What about calls in another language? Transcription covers many languages and detects them automatically, so a mixed-language territory does not need a separate setup.

Next step

Open your next dial and let the notes write themselves

Do not migrate anything. Take one call today on your own number and look at what is waiting for you when you hang up.
